Privacy

Last updated 2 November 2026

The short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking scripts on this site. We don’t know who you are, and we don’t try to find out.

What stays in your browser

A few choices you make are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your own device, so the site remembers them next time:

None of this is sent to us. To remove all of it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. On a school page, pressing This is your school again forgets your school, and Reset in the class names panel clears the names you typed.

What our server sees

Like almost every website, our server writes a log line for each request: the IP address it came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser’s name and version. We use these logs to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They’re deleted after about two weeks.

We also keep a running count of how many times each school page is opened. It’s a single number per school and says nothing about who opened it.

Cloudflare

All traffic to the site goes through Cloudflare, which keeps copies of pages close to visitors and blocks attacks. To do that, Cloudflare handles your IP address and request details under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie used only to tell people from bots; it’s described in Cloudflare’s cookie list. The site itself sets no cookies.

What we don’t do

The share buttons on school pages are plain links. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp or X unless you press one, and then that service’s own privacy policy applies.

Students and children

Many of our visitors are students. The site never asks for a name, email address or any other personal information, so it works the same for a twelve-year-old as for a teacher. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address to reply, and we keep the message only as long as it takes to deal with it.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. Questions go to [email protected].
