About Schools Bell App
Schools Bell App shows a school’s bell schedule and counts down to the next bell. Open your school’s page and it tells you which period you’re in, how many minutes are left, and what comes after it, all on the school’s own clock.
Why it exists
Most schools do post their bell times. Finding them is the hard part. They’re usually in a PDF a few clicks into a district website, there’s often a separate sheet for two-hour delays and early dismissals, and on a phone you end up zooming in on a scanned table to work out how long third period has left.
We wanted one page per school that answers that at a glance, and keeps working when you open it again tomorrow.
Where the times come from
Every schedule here was copied by hand from something the school or its district published: a bell schedule page, a student handbook or a PDF. Each school page links to that source, so you can check it yourself.
- We only list schools that publish period-by-period times. A page that gives just a start and end time can’t tell you when the next bell rings, so we leave those schools out for now.
- If the newest schedule a school has posted is from an earlier school year, the schedule’s name shows which year, for example “Bell Schedule (2024-25)”, and the note under it says it’s a prior-year schedule. We don’t present it as current.
- We don’t fill gaps with guesses. If a document is unclear about a time, that schedule doesn’t go up.
School addresses, grade levels and district enrollment come from the U.S. Department of Education’s Common Core of Data. The How it works page lists every source.
What the site covers
Right now the site covers Pennsylvania only, with 258 schools. Other states will be added one at a time, once their schedules have been checked.
Don’t see your school? It may not publish full period times yet, or we may not have reached it. Search for it, or browse by state from the home page.
What we’re not
We aren’t part of any school or district, and no school reviews what’s on this site. Schools change their times for snow delays, testing days and assemblies, often at short notice. The bell in the building is always the one to follow.
